A “PEO”, or Professional Employer Organization, is defined as a business entity that provides human resources outsourcing services to client companies through the use of a co-employment relationship. The Congruity PEO model involves a contractual allocation and sharing of employer responsibilities between Congruity and the client. This shared employment relationship is often referred to as “co-employment."

The PEO company acts as the Administrative employer and the client functions as the Worksite employer. This relationship is based on a true partnership. Because of the PEO structure, a PEO company can help small- and medium-sized businesses achieve economies of scale that they may not be able to achieve on their own. Partnering with a comprehensive PEO company can help your business succeed with improved efficiency and reduced liability.

Business owners want to focus their time and energy on the “business of their business” and not on the “business of employment.” As businesses grow, most owners do not have the necessary human resource training, payroll and accounting skills, the knowledge of regulatory compliance, or the backgrounds in risk management, insurance and employee benefit programs to meet the demands of being an employer. In our “ASO”, or Administrative Services Organization model, Congruity provides a comprehensive approach to many of the human resources functions supported in our PEO model, but without any direct employer relationship with your employee base.
